Arrived! Prt:0

Oh yeah forgot to talk about life in america pre camp. All 20hrs of it anyway. The flight to JFK was ok, im flying virgin all the time from now on. The amount of free crap they gave us was class. And interactive entertainment in the screens infront of you keeps you going all flight....i didnt reach for ipod once!

And so we land in JFK....its raining....not a good oman. Once past the army of customs guys with guns i go to get my bag...and i wait...and wait....and wait....oh yeah, and then wait....1/2 the flights bags came out and then the whole thing stopped and started to make a very weird noise...It was a good hour / hour and a half b4 they got it going again.

By the time i got to the hostel i just crashed out....however as i crashed out 4am london time i woke up at around lunch time london time....which is like 6am in the morning. As did all the guys i was in with. So we decided to get up and make the most of the morning b4 our bus came so we walked....and when i say walked, i mean REALLY walked. We went from the top of central park and didnt stop untill we hit times square. We then had a subway, looked around a few shops then got a yellow cab back up. And that brings us more or less up to date.

Arrived!

Well...im here!! Took 3 and a half hours to get to camp which was a bitch....it took us a good hour just to get out of new york. Camp is a bit like uni at the mo. Lots of ppl around the same age all getting to know each other. Went up to the footy field last night to have a bit of a kick around untill it got a bit cold and dark. The weather is exactly the same as the UK at the mo. Its been over-cast and drizzly since i got here. Today i went for a walk around to take the place in...ITS HUGE. And giving the amount of cash the parents pay for the kids to come here they must rake it in by the millions.

Just had my lunch...untill the full kitchen opens etc we more or less just have to eat what we are given....and had a "yam" yesterday...turns out im not a Yam fan. I did have spag bol today...(note to self, dont say spag bol to the ppl serving you cause they have no idea what ya on about.

Im more or less free untill after tea when we start department meetings etc etc So ill know more about what im doing soon. The kids come on tuesday so everyone is gonna be very busy getting everything ready.

Well thats all i have to say about that, im off to read my book. I wanna aim to finish it b4 tea time.

This Blog is for friends and family, so you can all keep track of my adventures as well as for anyone else who, like me, doesn’t know what the whole summer camp thing is like.
